Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance

If you become injured due to an accident you, (or, if you die, your beneficiary) may be eligible to receive up to $40,000 through the Plan’s accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance benefit through the Amalgamated Life Insurance Company.

Additional benefits may apply:

• An additional $40,000 benefit applies if you die while performing your job.
• An additional $40,000 applies if you die due to an accidental injury that occurs while traveling in or on a common carrier. (A “common carrier” is any air, land or water vehicle operated for regular passenger service on regular defined routes between established points of arrival and departure).
